Reishi is a polypore mushroom that grows on fallen hemlock trees in Asia and North America. Discovered thousands of years ago first in the mountainous regions of China, Reishi has long been used in traditional Chinese medicine. Reishi has earned many accolades throughout history, from “Ling Zhi” in Chinese, which stands for a “plant that nourishes the spirit,” to “the "Queen of Mushrooms" in other traditions. The polysaccharides and beta glucans found in the mushroom make it stand out in the fungal family.For centuries, people have invented many ways of consuming the mushroom, from brewing Reishi Mushroom tea or coffee to incorporating it in dessert and dishes. For MOYU, Reishi is one of the key ingredients in our Cacao Reishi Cake, blending perfectly well with our best sourced cacao and creating a rich, earthy flavor.

Pasture-raised eggs are laid by hens that can spend their days outdoors roaming the pastures as they please. Our pasture-raised girls have access to a minimum of 108 square feet each, unlike cage-free birds that have far less freedom.
On average, cage-free birds get a maximum of 1.2 square foot of space per bird and may rarely, if ever, see the sunlight. Our eggs are from hens that have access to fresh air and sunshine year-round.
